Paula Parenzano has always had an eye for beauty—drawing inspiration from her most beloved place—the ocean. At the tender age of 16 she began her career as a makeup artist in San Francisco for such prestige lines as Lancome, Estee Lauder, Bobbie Brown, Stila and Benefit. In fact, she was instrumental in helping launch Benefit's debut in both Macy's and Bloomingdales. After 10 years of living by the northern coast, she decided to move back to her native Southern California to pursue work as a makeup artist for the film industry. During this time Paula became acquainted with the world of natural skincare and cosmetics. But she found it frustrating that natural cosmetics didn't offer the fashionable color pallet of prestige lines, and though many companies claimed to be "all natural" the ingredients didn't always reflect this philosophy. Thus, began her quest to blend the look and feel of prestige cosmetics with the quality and integrity of natural ingredients.

Paula dedicated herself to finding out about "all things natural" by shifting gears and starting a career in sales with one of the leaders in the natural skincare industry. She devoured any and all information she could find concerning natural ingredients, and the natural way of life. Paula coupled this research with her love of the ocean—and so, the concept of Parenzano Cosmetics was born. The first venture for Parenzano Cosmetics is Lip Pearls, an all-natural collection of shimmering lip gloss.
